Brian Azzarello has been writing comic books professionally since the mid-1990s. He is the Harvey and Eisner Award-winning co-creator, with artist Eduaro Risso, of 100 Bullets and Loveless & Moonshine. This New York Times bestselling author's work for DC Comics includes, Hellblazer, Superman, Joker, Luthor, Before Watchmen, Wonder Woman, and Dark Knight III with Frank Miller. Most recently, he and artist Lee Bermejo launched DC’s groundbreaking Mature Readers imprint, "Black Label" with the controversial and critically acclaimed Batman: Damned.
Roxane Gay is the bestselling author of Ayiti, An Untamed State, Bad Feminist, Difficult Women, Hunger: A Memoir of My Body, and World of Wakanda for Marvel. In 2018, she was the editor of Best American Short Stories. She is currently at work on film and television projects, a book of writing advice, an essay collection on television and culture, and a Young Adult novel entitled The Year I Learned Everything. Gay's writing appears in Best American Nonrequired Reading 2018, Best American Mystery Stories 2014, Best American Short Stories 2012, Best Sex Writing 2012, Harper’s Bazaar, A Public Space, McSweeney’s, Oxford American, American Short Fiction, Virginia Quarterly Review, and many others. Ryan North is the author of the Eisner and Harvey award-winning webcomic series, Adventure Time, the bestselling anthology series Machine of Death and The New York Times bestselling and Eisner-award winning Unbeatable Squirrel Girl series for Marvel. He's turned Shakespeare into The New York Times bestselling choose-your-own-path books, and his book, How to Invent Everything is nothing less than a complete cheat sheet for civilization.North is currently adapting Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse-Five into a graphic novel.
Tracy Lynne Oliver is the author of This Weekend, chosen Best Microfiction 2019 and Love Letters, an essay series, featured in Medium magazine. The Sacrifice of Darkness is her first graphic novel adaptation and written with acclaimed author Roxane Gay. Oliver has been published Medium, Fanzine, and Occulum.
Gabby Rivera is a Bronx-born, queer, Puerto Rican babe on a mission to create the wildest, most fun stories ever. She's the first Latina to write for Marvel Comics, penning the solo series America about America Chavez, a portal-punching queer Latina powerhouse. In 2017, Rivera was named one of the top comic creators by the SyFy network, and one of NBC's #Pride30 Innovators.
